The Bunsen features a safety electro-valve which prevents gas from coming out when the flame is off. On turning On the Bunsen you must press the thermo-valve and keep it pressed for about 15 seconds. The flame can be adjusted by rotating the regulating knob or the metallic bush which adjust the amount of air. The use of propane or natural gas in the lab always represents a safety hazard. If the Bunsen burner goes out the gas supply must also be immediately interrupted. The safety burner therefore has incorporated automatic controls. Propan Gas and LPG
